GO FOR FILMING
REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
— WHAT A DEAL! —

Sign up today and receive
two years of photo-hosting
for only 50 bucks.

Thus, if you have your own photographs already,
that's all you pay for two years. If, though, you wish
to have your property shot by a professional scout,
then some additional fees will still apply.

If you have any property that you'd like to rent out to the film industry, you can advertise it here on your own webpage. Here is a step-by-step breakdown of what to do and how it all works....

Step #1 — Take digital photographs of your place. These should be a minimum of 640 pixels wide (such as 640 x 480 pixels) and should show all angles and views, both exterior and interior, and any details that make your place unique. If you know how to create panoramic pictures, you can do these as well. The fee for hosting these pictures on this website is currently a flat $50 for two years. Should your place ever be used as a film location, there will be no commission charged here. You will make a deal directly with the Location Manager and receive 100% of the income.

Step #2 — If you don't have a digital camera or just don't want to take the pictures yourself, you can hire one of us, professional Location Scouts, to do it for you instead. Some of my own recent credits include films like Transformers, Mission: Impossible III, and 50 First Dates, and my partners have worked on various other Hollywood movies too, so this is the very best way to be sure that your place is shot in a way that the director and producers will appreciate. This service costs a one-time flat $150. Gasoline money may be requested if your property is too distant. Also, if I am not personally available, I will have a trusted substitute Location Scout from your region take my place instead.

Step #3 — Once the pictures are posted on the website, a new webpage will be created that will specifically advertise your property. It will have its own web address, as well as a handy four-digit code to jump directly from the main page to your own page.

Step #4 — After your webpage is online, we can begin spreading the word about your place. I will advertise the website to film industry professionals to encourage them to use this website catalog. I will also link to this site from all over Film in America, the largest website of its kind on American filming locations. You too should spread the world about your property by going to resources like the Reel Directory and L.A. 411 to contact other Location Scouts out there. Send them an e-mail or mail them a brochure with the www.goforfilming.com address and your four-digit code so that they can see what your place looks like and bookmark it for the next time they need a filming location such as yours. Thus, there's no need to send out annoying and dangerous e-mail attachments since your pictures will always remain online. Since your pictures have a permanant home here, they can't get lost or deleted either. Be sure to include your contact information in the messages that you send out.

Step #5 — As for this site, your contact information will never be posted on your webpage. This is to protect you since the site is available for browsing by anybody, not just professionals. Location Scouts will, though, browse the site and occasionally find places that they are interested in considering for a film or television shoot. Before turning over your phone numbers, I will verify their credentials.

Step #6 — That's it! Now, sit back and relax. Someday — it could be next week, or maybe a couple years from now — a Location Scout could come calling. Have fun! And enjoy your new source of income!
